News From Travis & Mimi Dykes

Church Planters in Atlanta

The church is continuing to grow and souls are being saved. We are starting a campaign to get the name New Day Baptist Church out there. We have had some donations and a lot of help getting things this far. The Lord has blessed us with funding for several advertising needs. Now it’s up to the membership to hit the streets. I have spent the last four months training and counseling our launch team. We are prepared for who God places into our paths and for the obstacles that the devil may throw too. Our official launch date is scheduled for February 7, 2016. This will be the day that we are constituted and the members will sign the founding member roll that will be a forever memorial to the founding of God’s embassy here in Stockbridge, GA.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Psalm 100:4 says, “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.”

We are thankful to God for a good November meeting. It was wonderful to see many of you there. I hope that you mark your calendars for our Fall 2016 meeting. It will be November 15-17. Dr. Jack Reiss will be our keynote speaker.

Dr. Garvin Dykes and his wife Faye will be traveling over the Thanksgiving Holiday. Please keep them in your prayers as they minister in both Ethiopia and Zambia. They will be home by the middle of December.

We are also thankful unto the Lord for you. Your faithful participation in prayer and provision for missions is noteworthy. Our prayer is that God will bless you and yours with a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration. Happy Thanksgiving!

A Prayer from the Christiansens

Missionaries to Egypt

Heavenly Father, I ask that your Spirit would move and work in a mighty way in the hearts of the Egyptians. I pray you would bring us in contact with those whose hearts you are working in, open unto us a door of utterance to speak the mystery of Christ, and give us the boldness to step through it. I pray that we would speak not with man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, always ready to give an answer for the hope that is within. I ask that you pull down the walls of darkness and deception that prevent people from hearing Truth. Help us to love people the way you do, Lord. Use our family to show the love, joy, and peace that can only be found in Jesus. I pray our children would not have any bitterness about the work you have called us to, but will find great joy and blessing in serving you. We ask that multitudes of Egyptians would come to know you as Lord and Savior, and that you would give them a great passion to reach Muslims around the world with the gospel. I pray you would raise up men like Moses who will lead their people out of bondage as they follow you.

I ask that you fill us with the knowledge of your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding that we might walk worthy of you unto all pleasing. I pray that you work through us to be fruitful unto every good work today. Increase our knowledge of you, and strengthen us with all might according to your glorious power unto all patience and longsuffering. I ask that you strengthen the inner man within us. Teach us to worship you in spirit and in truth and to seek your face, privately, publicly, perpetually, and corporately. Teach us to give thanks in every circumstance, to think more positively, and to rejoice in how you saved us from hell. Remind us today to reckon ourselves dead indeed unto sin but alive unto you through Jesus Christ our Lord. Teach us to walk by faith and yield our members as instruments of righteousness. Teach us and remind us to watch and pray that we enter not into temptation and that we pray throughout the day and night and meditate on your word day and night. Help us to make you preeminent and love you with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength.

God, I pray for the peace of Jerusalem and all Jews. Teach us and remind us to make intercessory prayer for our friends, family, and foes. Send forth multitudes of laborers into your harvest field today and strengthen those already working physically, financially, mentally, and spiritually to continue the work, so everyone who has an ear to hear, will hear the gospel. I pray against all those who greatly withstand your words and the words of Christians who speak in your name (2 Tim. 4:14-15). I ask that you reward all those who attack your words, that you take them to heaven or hell today if they won’t repent, or constrain them so the Great Commission is not hindered. Please strengthen all the angels today, so they are not hindered from the work you would have them to do today. I pray you use both lost and saved people, holy angels, high ranking government officials, all government workers to open all the doors for the Great Commission. And Lord, I pray our hearts’ desire would always be to glorify you alone in all we do, and that you would receive the honor, glory, and praise you deserve.

The Christiansens are currently on furlough until January 2016.

VICKtory School for the Deaf

Vicktory SchoolVicktory SchoolIt has been a long time coming, but it is moving day at VICKtory School for the Deaf. We still have a long way to go, but God is so good, and we have our school. It has been years, and you have been so faithful to support and pray for us. Please don’t stop praying yet; because, we still have much to do, but we can at least say we are now here. We still have to paint and finish the block work on the other floor that we will use in the future for vocational training.

God knows, and will supply the needs. Now, if we could just locate all the files and supplies that would be nice. We have had several of our students and parents come to help, but it did not take the students long to find a ball and go outside to play. School is planning to open officially next Monday. Please pray for the students, teachers and for me as we begin a new year. Most of all, pray for these boys and girls to learn their language so they can learn about Jesus. This is your school and without you none of this could have ever happened.

Progress for the Prices

Missionaries to Bolivia

BoliviaJeff and Sandra Price are pushing full steam ahead in their deputation ministry. Their schedule is full, up unto Christmas. We praise the Lord that they are at 46% of their needed support.

Bolivia is divided into nine departments. Tarija, Bolivia where Jeff and Sandra will be working, is the fastest growing department in Bolivia! One Missionary who lives there recently said, “Tarija is growing so fast there are nowhere near enough churches. People are flocking here and the door is wide open for the Gospel. New construction is all around.” Surely there is a great need in Tarija for more laborers.

Please continue to pray for the Prices as they minister on deputation. Pray for safety as they travel. Pray for their health as they push themselves beyond weariness and minister in churches throughout the United Sates. Most of all, pray that God will raise their full support soon so that they may bring the Gospel to the lost of Tarija!

News From Angie Seals

Missionary serving in Mexico

This summer has been very hard, short but rewarding. We had one youth camp and six vacation Bible schools.

Once again we had the privilege of having Miss Linda Castleberry for four weeks, who was of great help in several vacation Bible schools during the summer, and we were also blessed with the return of Brother Jimmie Long, his wife Faye and their daughter Elizabeth, who were of great blessing once again with their clown ministry in the vacation Bible school of Tecoh.

The youth camp lasted three days, and we had an attendance of 18 young people. With workers and all we averaged 30. Brother Moises, Brother Estaban, and Brother Jamie each took a day to teach. Each presented a Bible character and focused on what they faced as young people in a world that did not know God, and how each one of them were able to be a witness in their convictions.

Deputation For The Far East

Missionaries Matt & Rebekah L.

Photo of thousands of people.

Matt and Rebekah are making progress toward their departure goal. They have 50% of their support need raised. The Far East district that they feel led to minister in has a population of at least 44 million. The need is great. Matt and Rebekah are veteran missionaries. Let’s help get them to the field as soon as possible!

Please pray for this family of five as they minister on deputation. Pray for their safety as they travel. Pray for effective meetings so that they will be at 100% soon. Finally, pray that God will use them to challenge His people for missions while they are here.

Matt recently purchased an RV for their deputation. They are hitting the road hard in the western part of the United States. Their current home and sending church is in California. If you would like to have this family in your church please contact Brother Matt L.

Angie Seals’ August 2015 Prayer Letter

This letter was written by BIO missionary Angelica Seals

Missionary in Yucatan, Mexico

Dear Friends,
This summer has been very hard, short yet very rewarding. We had one Youth Camp and six Vacation Bible Schools.

Once again we had the privilege of having Miss Linda Castleberry for four weeks, who was of great help in several Vacation Bible Schools during the summer, and we were also blessed with the return of Brother Jimmie Long, his wife Mrs. Faye and their daughter Elizabeth, who were of great blessing once again with their clown ministry in the Vacation Bible School in Tecoh.

The Youth Camp lasted three days, and we had an attendance of 18 young people with workers and all we averaged 30. Brother Moises, Brother Esteban, and Brother Jaime each took a day to teach. Each presented a Bible character and focused on what they faced as young people in a world that did not know God, and how each of them were able to be a witness in their convictions.

In the Church of Acanceh , we prayed and asked God to give us new contacts through the children that came to Him for salvation. We Praise the Lord, on the second day God blessed us with three children that made a professions of faith. Two of them were boys of 12 years old. Brother Irving and David are now working with them for the young boys Sunday School class.

In Pixyah we had a very good attendance. One of the things that was most touching to see was that men and women whom Becky and I worked with when they were children, now coming with their sons and daughters. Several of them came up to us with a smile on their face asking if we remember them. The most important thing was that they remembered God, and that what they were taught in their youth was now having an impact on their children.

Thank you all for praying for each one of the Vacation Bible Schools as you do each year. Thank you also for praying with us for souls to be saved. The Lord answered our prayer for this summer. We had 4 to come to Jesus for salvation.

Pray as we once again take up our regular activities, Bible Institute Studies, Girls and Boys for Christ Club, Onesimus Ministry, Dorcas Ministry and other ministries.

Thank you for your continual prayers for us here in the ministry in the Yucatan as you co-labor with us so that others can be saved and grow to serve God.

News From Justin & Danielle Sauder

Missionaries serving in Zambia

God has been very good to us. About six weeks ago, we had a young man visit the church. He came after the service and told me he wanted to know more about Jesus. Several days later, after explaining from the Bible the truths found in God’s Word, we saw this young man named Cornelius come to know Jesus as his personal Savior. He has not missed a worship service since that time, and recently we baptized him along with six other new believers.

Last week, I received a phone call from Cornelius that his nephew had died. We visited the family and learned that there was really no church involved in the funeral. We used this as an opportunity to minister to this family and preach the Gospel. I believe the Lord used the words that were spoken because the mother of the young boy who died, came to church for the first time this Sunday. Please pray for us as we follow up with this family and that the Gospel will penetrate their hearts!

Photo of 5 children walking together.Bob and Jody Hayton have been missionaries in Zambia for over twenty years. The Lord has used them mightily to pioneer new territory, see thousands set free from Satan’s bondage, and to lead in the planting of many churches.

The Haytons are home for a short furlough. They already have meetings scheduled in Alabama, Iowa, Michigan and Wisconsin. The Sauders are also coming home for a short furlough. If you are interested in having the Haytons or the Sauders at your church please contact me.
