News From Gomeju
VICKtory School for the Deaf
It has been a long time coming, but it is moving day at VICKtory School for the Deaf. We still have a long way to go, but God is so good, and we have our school. It has been years, and you have been so faithful to support and pray for us. Please don’t stop praying yet; because, we still have much to do, but we can at least say we are now here. We still have to paint and finish the block work on the other floor that we will use in the future for vocational training.
God knows, and will supply the needs. Now, if we could just locate all the files and supplies that would be nice. We have had several of our students and parents come to help, but it did not take the students long to find a ball and go outside to play. School is planning to open officially next Monday. Please pray for the students, teachers and for me as we begin a new year. Most of all, pray for these boys and girls to learn their language so they can learn about Jesus. This is your school and without you none of this could have ever happened.
One Month Left!
There is only one month left before our annual fall meeting in Pigeon Forge. This meeting will be held at the Holiday Inn Resort in Pigeon Forge, TN. Our schedule is a little different this year with the banquet starting on Tuesday, November 10th at 6:30 PM. The meeting concludes Thursday evening.
Brother Norman Johnston will be our main speaker. Many of our missionaries home on furlough and those on deputation will be present. We will also have the opportunity to honor Dr. Mike Mayfield with the Faithful Man Award. It will be a wonderful time as usual. You can purchase your banquet tickets through PayPal.
Progress for the Prices
Missionaries to Bolivia
Jeff and Sandra Price are pushing full steam ahead in their deputation ministry. Their schedule is full, up unto Christmas. We praise the Lord that they are at 46% of their needed support.
Bolivia is divided into nine departments. Tarija, Bolivia where Jeff and Sandra will be working, is the fastest growing department in Bolivia! One Missionary who lives there recently said, “Tarija is growing so fast there are nowhere near enough churches. People are flocking here and the door is wide open for the Gospel. New construction is all around.” Surely there is a great need in Tarija for more laborers.
Please continue to pray for the Prices as they minister on deputation. Pray for safety as they travel. Pray for their health as they push themselves beyond weariness and minister in churches throughout the United Sates. Most of all, pray that God will raise their full support soon so that they may bring the Gospel to the lost of Tarija!
