Our Message

The message of Baptist International Outreach is the message of the Bible — hope, forgiveness, restoration, and reconciliation with a holy God through Jesus Christ.

This salvation is about God restoring a personal relationship with His creation — a relationship He desires deeply, enough to give His only Son as the sacrificial payment for our sin debt. Below is that message, drawn from Scripture.

The Foundation

God’s Love for the World

The message begins with God’s love. He did not leave mankind without hope but provided the way of salvation through His Son.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
The Bad News

All Have Sinned

The bad news is that all people are sinners. We are all guilty of breaking God’s holy law, and it is by that law that our deeds will be judged.

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23
The Penalty

The Wages of Sin

As a result of sin, we deserve our sentence of spiritual death — separation from God forever in a real place called Hell after physical death.

For the wages of sin is death… Romans 6:23a
The Good News

God’s Provision Through Christ

The good news is that God loves us and does not want anyone to perish. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, whose perfect life qualified Him to be our substitute — taking on the death penalty we deserved, paying the sin debt through His physical death on the cross.

…but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23b
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. 2 Corinthians 5:21
The Response

Believe and Be Saved

This salvation is a free gift available to all who believe — believe that Jesus, the Christ, is the Son of the living God who took your place on the cross, paid the price for your sin, and rose again so that you may be saved and assured of eternal life in Heaven.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:9–10
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13
