News From Bizuayehu & Tsehai

Deaf Missionaries to the Deaf of Ethiopia

Thank you very much for your daily prayer for the Gospel ministry among the Deaf. Because of your support and prayers the Deaf are able to hear the living Word of God and souls are saved. God bless you. Please continue to remember us in your prayers.

I am asking you to pray for the rented house we use for our Bible studies and worship. We have been trying to
find another house for our worshiping place but it is hard to find. The owners of houses were not willing to rent a house for believers. But we are still praying over the needs every day. Now the landlord at the house we are using for our Gospel work is asking us to pay him 7,500 Birr (about $350 USD) every month to continue to use the house. We ask you to pray for the money for the payment.

We are always thankful to God for His great love to His children. The ministry in Nazareth and Wonji towns are going well. Praise to His mighty name. Praise the Lord that Dr. Garvin and Mrs. Faye Dykes had a great time here in Ethiopia. I thank God for letting them come and spend time with us and that they were a blessing to us also. May God bless them more.

christmasMerry Christmas!

The meaning and purpose of Christmas is found in the voice of the angel of the Lord in Luke 2, “…Behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.” Christmas is the Gospel (i.e., the good news) to all people. We celebrate a Savior that was born in the fulness of time, a Messiah that was born to die for the sins of the world, and a Lord that was born to rise victorious over death and the grave.

We as believers are all in the business of taking this Good News to all people. Thank you for your partnership with us. We wish you a very Merry Christmas!

At the end of the angel’s announcement to the Shepherds a great multitude of angels declared, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.” This, of course, is everything that you and I are about – The glory of God and the good will of God to all men. 1 Timothy 2:3-4, “For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.”

Faithfulness to the Lord

Missionaries Richard and Florence Abney

We appreciate the ministry of Richard and Florence Abney and their association with BIO. The Abneys have spent many fruitful years of ministry overseas on the mission field and here in the United States. They have been faithful through hard trials and also while enjoying the wonderful blessings of our Lord. In November they celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary.

Now, in the wisdom years of their lives, the Abneys are involved in evangelism, missionary relief and pulpit supply. I would like to encourage you to prayerfully consider this godly couple for any special ministry needs that you may have.
